Eva the Glam Mermaid

Me again! I am sooo pleased that I've finally had a chance to make a card just for fun, AND enter 2 of my favourite challenges at the same time!!

My card is for a friend, someone who works with Noah, my autistic son, and has helped to make a big difference in all of our lives.

I feel as if I have had withdrawal symptoms from not being able to enter the challenge over at MICHELLE PERKETT STUDIOS, and the POLLYCRAFT challenge too....but here's my card which I am entering into both this time around.

My image is the wonderful Eva, the Glam Mermaid, and is available from Michelle's Etsy shop. She is coloured with Promarkers, and I tried to marble her tail a little for a watery effect.

I'm not sure what this type of fold is called (if anyone can let me know I'd be grateful!) but I added a 3D 'wave' behind Eva, at the bottom and added the recipients name to the front. The DPs are MME and I used little cut out sections to embellish the card. The senti is from Sentiments 4 U, I just changed the colour to match in Word. I added some coral ribbon, some card candy dots to complete.

I decorated the inside of the card too...I think it makes the finished card look so much better.

The theme at MPS this week is 'All in the Ocean!' and at Pollycraft  challenge #99 is 'Water.'
