.....RETRO ADVERTS In Triptych!

Just in time for the end of November, here are my TRIPTYCH ATCs for my swap over at Ali's ATC Swap Stop!
I love old retro ads and thought this was a great chance to use them for some ATCs. Anyone remember these products.....?

We used this soap when I was a little girl!

These were/are one of my fave sweets! Used to get a real treat and have a box of them when we went to the cinema as a girl!

I remember my Dad having this with a cooked breakfast.....it smelled so spicy to me!

There were SOOO many great ads to choose from, I wanted to make loads more.....Marmite, Sunlight soap, Coca Cola, Oxo, Cornflakes, Cadbury's chocolate.....ooooh, the list is endless! Maybe we'll have a Retro Ad theme for an ATC swap sometime......what d'you think.....?

........Hooray for Kenny K!!

I needed a card for a soon-to-be teenage boy, and I needed it fast! So, no ribbons or flowers, no glitter or gems.....Argh! But wait, not a problem, I remembered I had a perfect image, thanks to the fab artwork of Kenny K! So, here's what I rustled up.....
A 5"x7" card, matted and layered using a range of green and blue DPs and coloured papers. The image was a freebie from a while back from Kenny K Downloads shop, and is coloured with my Promarkers.

The sentiments are computer generated using the font Segoe Print, and I finished off with some Card Candy paper dots. It'll be in the post tomorrow morning......Thanks for popping in!

.......12 Days of Xmas & 12 ATCs

The title of the ATC swap over at ATC Swappers for November is '12 Days of Christmas.' And for this swap, we each make 12 ATCs and in return, we each receive a bumper pack of 12 Christmas-themed ATCs. I have made a selection of waterfall ATCs.
I embossed some white card using my snowflakes folder, and created a range of different waterfalls, all with a Christmas/Winter theme.
Each one is secured with mini brads, has a funky-fibre pull-tab and is mounted on a co-ordinating coloured backing card.

Can't leave without saying HAPPY 4th BIRTHDAY to my youngest son, NOAH, who has had a wonderful day, his favourite part being the caterpillar chocolate cake!!!

TRIPTYCH POPPIES

After taking my son to Speech Therapy and partaking in sensory play with shaving foam (don't ask!) I needed some therapy of my own, so I decided to make my ATCs for Spyder's swap on the Cardmaking and Papercraft forum. The theme is 'November' so anything that you associate with that month.
I chose 4 images of poppies and decided to make them in a Triptych style (with 3 panels.) I have layered them up on silver mirri-card, as well as black and red. If you fancy having a go at this, over at my ATC blog the theme for this month's swap is TRIPTYCH, with any choice of images etc.

.......Mmmmmm, Cake!

Wow! I can't believe I've made both cards for my Son's birthday and its not 'til Wednesday!! The most organised I've been for a family member's cards ever! So this one is a stepper card, from DH and I.
I printed a birthday candles digi BP onto hammered white card, and folded into a stepper. I them printed a range of various images from different graphics collections, which are arranged and mounted onto the card using foam pads. The sentiments are computer generated using the font Cheri Liney. I was going to colour the lettering, but think it looks good as it is. There are teddies, presents and cupcakes adorning the card, all of which he should love!
Oooh, note to self, it's my Niece's birthday on the same day as Noahs....MUST post her card! (I made that ages ago; hope I can find it!!)

Diamond Fold Card

Today I have made a diamond fold card following the tutorial on the Craft Your Passion blog. It is my beloved Noah's birthday on Wednesday, and true to form, I've left making his card until the last minute!
The perfect choice of graphics I think, as my Noah is indeed a true little monkey!!!! The BP is by Reminisce, and is called Jungle Palms. I added some cut out sections of the BP to enhance the edges around the image, and double-layered the image. I also inked the edges, added a few gems and a peel off sentiment (hard to see.) I also made the personalised tags to co-ordinate on each side of the card.
I am entering this card into the following challenges:

'Owl's' That for a Card?!

I've been feeling a bit out of sorts recently, and realised I've not made a card for a while, so this evening I decided to do something about that! The card I made is for another dear friend's birthday, and I really enjoyed making it! The collection I have used is from The Creative Cottage and is called Lavender Sky, both the papers and the graphics collection. I followed a sketch (from my bank of sketches that I've been collecting) and added an organza ribbon, some square gems and a computer generated sentiment, using a font called Countryhouse.
I really like the muted lavender and pale blue colour scheme.

P-P-P-Pick Up A Penguin!

LOL!!! Remember those adverts? If you don't then you're too young, but us oldies will do of course ;)

I just had to share this card with you, the image is soooo much fun, I love it! A penguin with teeth, and the cheekiest grin you've ever seen!
This easel card is made using a fab download by my great friend, Deb Lauder, owner of the CRAFTYSTASH site where you can find an array of wonderful downloads at fab prices. This one is a twisted pyramage sheet with a matching backing paper, and is just 75p! I love the effect of the twisted pyramage.......
I matted/layered using silver mirri-card and plain pink card, combined with the BP. I added a few silver snowflakes, a peel-off greeting and some funky fibres to finish.
I have entered it into the monthly competition over at Craftystash, where you can win gift certificates for both Craftystash AND Cardmaking Downloads....why not head over and take a look, you WON'T be disappointed!

I would also like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Shop 'Til You Drop!

Here are my ATCs for the swap over at Addicted to ATCs, where the theme for November is 'Shop 'Til You Drop!'

I used pyramaged images entitled 'Shop 'Til The Cows Come Home!' and a matching BP. I added some funky fibres and a die-cut handbag, cut using a Quickcutz die in my Bigshot.

Each image is very slightly different......look carefully, I promise they ARE all different!! If you would like to purchase this sheet, you can find it over at Cardmaking Downloads.

More ATC Returns

Morning! A short post this morning, I'm suffering with flu and trying to look after a very grumpy 'almost 4 year old' at the same time! not helped by the fact he's autistic and doesn't seem to want or need any sleep, which I could do with an abundance of atm! Hey Ho, the joys of motherhood I guess.

Today's pic is of the ATCs I received in the October swap at ATC Swappers...the theme? 'You've Been Boo'ed'....

Great eh?

Hope to get the chance to make/share something with you soon, just need to get rid of these wretched germs!
