It's beginning to look a LOT like Christmas!

Hi folks, sorry I'm late with my post, but as they say, better late than never :-/

Challenge #197 at THE CRAFTY PAD has been chosen by our Rachel, and her fab choice is

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS!

I'm sure there'll be no shortage of entries for this one, especially as we have a fab prize courtesy of Ali at

with this wonderful prize:

Christmas is always a big family get-together for us, so this week I decided to use some of Debbie's lovely seasonal images to make some placecard settings for the big day.

For the children's place cards I used images from the Elf Tags.

For the adult's place cards I used the Christmas Baubles Sets which are available in 3 sets (each with 2 colours.)

The other DT girlies from Team B have some great makes, so don't forget to pop over to the challenge blog and leave them some love.

Thanks for popping in.

Anything Goes!

Morning everyone, and welcome to another Sunday. Over at
this week we have an
ANYTHING GOES
challenge for you! Yes folks, #195 is your choice.
Our sponsor this week is the lovely Lorraine, owner of
with a £10 voucher to spend in her online shop.
This week I've used two Crafty Pad Designs images, snowgloge (precoloured) and one of the Merry Christmas sentiments. I have a quickie-make to share with you, it's a ribbon bookmark.

It's so quick and easy to make! I printed the snowglobe onto thick card and cut it out. I altered the colour of the sentiment to match and printed onto thick card once again and cut it out. To join them, I chose a wide red satin ribbon, a christmas print ribbon and some green ric rac.
How does it work? See below!

Simply place onto he page you want to save...
...and close the book...page saved!
If you are giving a book to anyone as a gift, these make a wonderful addition, as they can be personalised to suit the theme of the book or the person you're making for.

We really hope you will join us this week, and are confident you will as its an Anything Goes week. Please note that we are setting a limit of 3 entries per person, or we'll be so busy commenting our children won't get fed!!!!! Pmsl!!
See you soon.

I will enter the following challenges with my bookmark:

Animals

Hi!
I have been so busy of late, and both my cardmaking AND blogging have been forced to take a back seat for a while :(  I keep thinking things will settle down a bit, then along comes Monday and I hit the floor running and don't seem to stop! Hey-Ho, such is life.

This week at THE CRAFTY PAD we have been set a great challenge by our Rachel, and that's to

USE AN ANIMAL #193

We want you to use at LEAST one animal on your creations, in fact, the more the merrier!

Here's my creation, using Patch Flying, available from
The Crafty Pad Designs. (I used the uncoloured version, and coloured it with Promarkers, but he is also available in a great coloured version.)

As a friend of mine recently had a baby boy, I have made a congratulations card. It's a shaker card, with little buttons in the shaker, two shades of blue and some tiny number buttons 1, 2, 3.

A Close-Up of Patch

I hope you can see the buttons a big clearer in this photo.

We are lucky enough to have two sponsors this week,

who are offering a £5 voucher to spend in their fabby online shop
and

with this pack of Muted Tone Promarkers to another lucky winner!
As you can see, prizes well worth playing along for!

October New Releases at The Crafty Pad

Welcome to Tuesday! I'm here with news of some brand new releases over at
The Crafty Pad.

As always, we are giving all our readers the opportunity to
WIN the TWO New Releases!
(Keep reading to find out more!)

Here are some previews to whet your appetite:

My DT pals over at The Crafty Pad have made some delightful samples using these images, so make sure you pop on over to the Challenge Blog and get inspired.

As well as these new releases we also have some other fab Christmas images, including these which were released a short while back: here are the previews:

I used a combination of the green and gold baubles to create my card.

I made a cardbase from kraft card and cut a border using a MS PATP punch before inking the edges. I used some freebie BPs from a magazine (& inked the edges again.) I combined the green and gold baubles from the 2 sets and added the sentiments before printing. This was cut out, distressed and mounted onto kraft card before adding a matching punched border. The star border I added to the bottom of this panel also comes with the set (along with the sentiment.)
I added a red gingham ribbon and bow and some red gems before mounting the panel onto the card to complete.

For your chance to WIN the TWO New Releases....
All you have to do is leave a comment on our post over at THE CRAFTY PAD and your name will go into the draw!

It's a VINTAGE Challenge

Good morning and a warm welcome back to my corner of blogland.  It's time for a brand new challenge over at The Crafty Pad, and this week it's our Debbi's turn to choose the theme, which is

#191 VINTAGE

Our sponsor this time around is Crafty Sentiment Designs with a prize of 3 digis of winners choice from their shop.

Here's my card:

I used one of the Rose Card Fronts available from The Crafty Pad Shop and printed it onto one of the vintage distressed plain paper pack. I matted and layered onto black card and red angel-hair paper, and then onto one of the vintage grunge postcard papers. I inked the edges with TH distress ink and added some bits n pieces from my stash...some flourishes, photo hinges and gems, and a piece of black lace and some vintage buttons to finish.

We really hope you can join us this week, and look forward to visiting your blog :)

It's SCRAPTASTIC at The Crafty Pad!!

Morning folks,

I do hope you are enjoying a weekend of fantastic weather, just as we are lucky enough to have here?

Our lovely Estelle has set the challenge over at The Crafty Pad this week, and her chosen theme is

SCRAPTASTIC!

We want to see you use up your 'scraps' and leftovers from previous projects, and tell us about what you used in your post.

Here's what I came up with:

Firstly, I must thank Helen (Crafty MamaMia) whose card for the special month-long BCA challenge inspired me to make this.

My image is called Umbrella - whimsy 2 from The Stamping Boutique, who are one of the 2 sponsors we have for this week's challenge. I coloured with Promarkers and added some blue gems and Glamour Dust.

For the base card, I used a piece of A4 card in my 'don't throw...you never know' box, that had a section already cut from it, and managed to draw around a tea-plate to get the main shape! The papers I've added are scraps from previous projects, from Nitwits. The piece of cheesecloth behind the image was one i had previously cut for a project but it was too small, so I inked it with a TH Distress pad and staped it to the card. The piece of lace was one I had also cut but not used previously.

The sentiment is one I actually use quite a lot, printed onto a scrap piece of paper.  The flowers were punched from the leftover DP  and the swirl was another leftover from a previous project. I made some posh pins which are positioned to help 'balance' the card and some heart-shaped gems to finish.

Our other sponsor this week is Lili of The Valley!

Be sure to pop over to the challenge blog and check out what the DT have created with the images!
