Animals

Hi!
I have been so busy of late, and both my cardmaking AND blogging have been forced to take a back seat for a while :(  I keep thinking things will settle down a bit, then along comes Monday and I hit the floor running and don't seem to stop! Hey-Ho, such is life.

This week at THE CRAFTY PAD we have been set a great challenge by our Rachel, and that's to

USE AN ANIMAL #193

We want you to use at LEAST one animal on your creations, in fact, the more the merrier!

Here's my creation, using Patch Flying, available from
The Crafty Pad Designs. (I used the uncoloured version, and coloured it with Promarkers, but he is also available in a great coloured version.)

As a friend of mine recently had a baby boy, I have made a congratulations card. It's a shaker card, with little buttons in the shaker, two shades of blue and some tiny number buttons 1, 2, 3.

A Close-Up of Patch

I hope you can see the buttons a big clearer in this photo.

We are lucky enough to have two sponsors this week,

who are offering a £5 voucher to spend in their fabby online shop
and

with this pack of Muted Tone Promarkers to another lucky winner!
As you can see, prizes well worth playing along for!

Thanks for popping by, I hope you have a great week.

October New Releases at The Crafty Pad

Welcome to Tuesday! I'm here with news of some brand new releases over at
The Crafty Pad.

As always, we are giving all our readers the opportunity to
WIN the TWO New Releases!
(Keep reading to find out more!)

Here are some previews to whet your appetite:

My DT pals over at The Crafty Pad have made some delightful samples using these images, so make sure you pop on over to the Challenge Blog and get inspired.

As well as these new releases we also have some other fab Christmas images, including these which were released a short while back: here are the previews:

I used a combination of the green and gold baubles to create my card.

I made a cardbase from kraft card and cut a border using a MS PATP punch before inking the edges. I used some freebie BPs from a magazine (& inked the edges again.) I combined the green and gold baubles from the 2 sets and added the sentiments before printing. This was cut out, distressed and mounted onto kraft card before adding a matching punched border. The star border I added to the bottom of this panel also comes with the set (along with the sentiment.)
I added a red gingham ribbon and bow and some red gems before mounting the panel onto the card to complete.

For your chance to WIN the TWO New Releases....
All you have to do is leave a comment on our post over at THE CRAFTY PAD and your name will go into the draw!
For a 2nd chance in the draw, be or become a follower of
The Crafty Pad Challenge Blog
and leave us another comment telling us you are a follower :)
It is that super duper easy!

And don't forget that those gorgeous bauble images are available NOW along with some other adorable Christmas images from The Crafty Pad Designs Shop.

It's a VINTAGE Challenge

Good morning and a warm welcome back to my corner of blogland.  It's time for a brand new challenge over at The Crafty Pad, and this week it's our Debbi's turn to choose the theme, which is

#191 VINTAGE

Our sponsor this time around is Crafty Sentiment Designs with a prize of 3 digis of winners choice from their shop.

Here's my card:

I used one of the Rose Card Fronts available from The Crafty Pad Shop and printed it onto one of the vintage distressed plain paper pack. I matted and layered onto black card and red angel-hair paper, and then onto one of the vintage grunge postcard papers. I inked the edges with TH distress ink and added some bits n pieces from my stash...some flourishes, photo hinges and gems, and a piece of black lace and some vintage buttons to finish.

We really hope you can join us this week, and look forward to visiting your blog :)
