One for the Guys!!!

Today's card is for a dear friend of mine, who celebrates her 22nd wedding anniversary in just over a week's time. She asked me to make a card for her DH and I was honoured to be asked, yet apprehensive as I wanted to do a good job for her! Here's what I came up with (with some clues and tips as to what he might like).....do hope she likes it!

The image I am sure many of you will recognise.....it's 'Albert,' a Just Inklined digi stamp from Imag-e-nation, and he can be purchased here.  I chose an easel card as I just love them, and so does my friend, so that was easy!

The papers were a free digi download (apologies but I can't remember where I got them from,) they are called 'Road Trip' which seemed a good choice for dear old Albert, who I coloured with Promarkers to tie in with the colours on the papers.

The fab poem (written by my friend herself....she certainly hid that talent until now!) is printed onto a vintage/rustic 'map' paper.

 I added a ribbon, a couple of images of Edinburgh maps (that's where they live,) some brads and a postcard cluster to finish. The edges are inked for definition.
