Hi folks, and a VERY happy Friday to you all!
Ah, the sun is shining, the weekend is upon us, and I am particularly pleased with my latest creation!
A while back, dear Debbie from The Crafty Pad Designs did a fab tutorial on the challenge blog for a photo board, I was totally inspired and it got me thinking! So, for Mother's Day when my DH asked if there was anything I would like, I asked for the supplies I needed to make a french memo board.
Here's what I made......
Close-up of the fabric, ribbons & buttons
Froggy buttons with moving googly eyes!

This one is for my sister's birthday, and as she is a froggy fan, it was the obvious choice of fabric!
Here's a quick outline of how I made it:
Covered the 16"x20" canvas in wadding, then covered that with the fabric, stapling it to the reverse with a staple gun.
Cut and placed the ribbons, making sure they were evenly spaced, then stapled down one side. I then had to weave the ribbons under and over each other before securing them on the opposite side.
I couldn't resist stitching on some decorative buttons to finish it off! I hope she likes it!
