Going Dotty!!!

Welcome to my little corner of blogland this fine Sunday morning! Today sees the start of our latest challenge over at THE CRAFTY PAD #120 is all about:

SPOTS & DOTS

We have 2 fabulous sponsors this week too:
  • LETRASET with a 5-pack of AQUA Promarkers
  • L.R. Designs with a gift certificate from our very own Lorraine's online store!

The DT were all given the chance to work with one of The Crafty Pad's latest designs....Recipe For A Friend, and here's what I made:

I made a card and little chocolate treat gift-box to match, as the recipient is a bit of a chocoholic (I won't name names, she knows who she is, lol!!!)

THE CARD
My papers are digi downloads, one from Pink Petticoat (little swirls) and the other I've had for years (well, 2008), purchased in my very early cardmaking days, from Printable Heaven. I really LOVE the colour combo, it reminds me of those sweets, you know the ones, chocolate limes!

THE CHOCCY GIFT BOX (CLOSED)

THE CHOCCY GIFT BOX (OPEN)
The sentiment on the inside of the box was a freebie, and reads: 'When life gives you lemons...throw them back and ask for chocolate!'
I thought it was perfect for this card, as the recipient was going through a rough time.

I used pearlescent card in a delicious chocolate-truffle shade and some Bazzill in lime-green. I coloured the frame of the recipe with my Promarkers and used it as the focus for the card, along with a sort of flower I made using a section of the dotty DP. An organza ribbon, some card candy, a computer generated senti and a little flower gem to complete.

It never ceases to amaze me how we can all  use the same image yet create such different results! Please try to pop to the challenge blog and see the creations of the rest of our DT, I just know you'll agree with me!

I would like to put my card up for the following challenges:
Thanks for popping by!
