mmmm, Hot Chocolate!

Hi again,

I seem sooooo busy at the moment, but was determined to take part in the Pollycraft Monday Challenge #78, where the theme is 'Baby, it's cold outside!' I knew what I wanted to do, and had the perfect image in mind! I saw her ages ago when I had a bit of a spend, and she was top of my 'next time' list, and this challenge gave me the perfect excuse to go back and do a little shopping!! Hee hee!!

Her name is Cocoa Emma (one of the sugarplums range,) and I got her from All That Scraps.....isn't she cute! She's holding her mug of cocoa and is all warm and cosy indoors, that's my take on the theme....cold outside, warm inside!

I coloured her with Promarkers (main colours Duck Egg and Tea Green) and had these delicious digi papers in teal blue and chocolate.
I also wanted to use some of my scrummy new lace from Wild Orchid Crafts, so that's what she's sat on, secured each end with a teal brad. I cut a piece of chocolate brown pearlescent card using my nesties, and added some gems and pearls.
Now, onto the flowers....again, from my latest purchase from WOC, the roses began life white, and I coloured them with my Promarkers to match the colours used in the BPs and on the image. So far, so good, but then.....disaster struck! My Quickie glue pen has run out, so I was forced to buy a different brand from The Range when I went on Monday.....looked ok, and I went ahead and used it on the flowers then sprinkled them with Glamour Dust, and waited for it to dry, expecting it to be clear, but NO! It's STILL BLUE :( to say I was miffed is an understatement, and I WON'T be using it for this again! I don't really want to waste the flowers, and think I might just be able to get away with leaving them, as the card colour combo is teal blue and chocolate brown.....here's a close up:

I created the ticket sentiment myself using Countryhouse freebie font.

I would also like to enter this card into the Fab n Funky challenge #58 this week, where the theme is Chocolate & Blue, AND Secret Crafter #119, where the theme is Hot Chocolate, AND Digis With Attitude! challenge #15 where the theme is 'Go Digital People!'

Thanks for Looking!
