Food, Glorious Food !!!

Good Morning, welcome to Sunday Morning, and to my little corner of blogland. Today sees the start of a brand new challenge at THE CRAFTY PAD. I have to say, I LOVE the theme chosen this week by the very talented Ms. Leesa (aka The Navy Wife.)

FOOD

Yay! so many options for you here, and if you're short on inspiration, then head over to THE CRAFTY PAD challenge blog for some fab DT inspiration.

For my card, I have used a real mix of CRAFTY PAD DESIGNS products, details of which can be found as you read through this post.

I made a sliding easel card, and here it is:

Here the slider element is open to reveal the sentiment.
The sliding easel template comes with full & easy to follow instructions, and the rectangular scalloped version, along with several others can be found in the shop HERE.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and the Strawberry Sundae Delight papers can be found in the shop HERE. The image can be found HERE. I added a strawberry to the top, and the sentiment from the Berry set HERE.
It is hard to see, but I have added several embellishments, including punched flowers with candi dot centres, white flower buttons tied with baker's twine, ribbon, and a punched cupcake border which I coloured red with ink.
Side-View with the slider open.

With the slider CLOSED, the card folds flat so will fit into an envelope for posting.

We have a fab sponsor in the form of CREATIVE CRAFT WORLD, with a £5.00 voucher to spend in their shop.

We would LOVE for you to join us this week, and I for one can't WAIT to visit your blogs and see your delicious creations!!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

For My Pops !

Good Morning all. Today I am sharing the card I've made for my Dad for Father's Day. I followed this week's Willow Sketchie sketch for this one, and also used one of their images too.
My papers are digital, from a collection called Baby Boy (although I don't remember where I purchased them from.) I coloured my image using Promarkers (I need to buy a new Sandstone promarker as you can see, this one is running out and a bit 'patchy.')

I added the 'Best Dad' to the sign before printing, and made the sentiment at the same time, using Cutie Pop font.
I started by cutting a 6x6 Bazzill card in dark brown and have layered with Kraft card. I also added some doodling around the edge of the panels. I decorated the inside to match too.
I would like to enter the following challenges:

C.R.A.F.T. #159 - Father's Day.

Who Doesn't Love a HUG ?

Evening peeps,
Phew! What a day! We've been racing round getting organised for back to school tomorrow and had a birthday party this afternoon for my daughter's best friend. I had cut it fine making her card, and was putting it together this morning, when my oldest announced that he had to make a 'working' volcano by tomorrow for his homework!! Argh! Kids!! So, DH and I were racing round looking for stuff to use, ironing uniform, showering kids, throwing together a volcano, finishing off the card....you can picture the scene, right!?!?
Anyway, we somehow got through the day, and I thought I'd share some pics of the card I made for the little girl's birthday.
I followed the current sketch at A Gem of a Challenge (see below.)
My image is the adorable Sassy Cheryl's Love's Healing Hands, and is coloured with Promarkers.
My DPs are Pink Petticoat Lots of Really Big Dots and are layered onto white and black card. I added some ric rac along the bottom and some white paper roses from Wild Orchid Crafts. A computer-generated sentiment & some small blue flower gems on the top lefthand side complete my card. I decorated the inside to match.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
A Gem of a Challenge #48 - Sketch.
Craft Punked wk23 - Birthday.

CHEERS !

Hi friends, and welcome to my blog. Todays card is another for my FIL. This time it's a Father's Day card and I know I'm safe to share it on here ahead of the day as he definately isn't a blogger! I have used another Digistamp Boutique image, this one was a freebie from ages ago. here's my card:
I made a 6x6 kraft cardbase, and Dovecraft Masculine papers, which I've had in my stash for ages. I embossed a panel of card using a cuttlebug folder, and layered it with a Martha Stewart punched border and bakers twine. I coloured the image with Promarkers and layered it onto a nestie cut circle of kraft card and DP, and some tiny gems.
I printed the sentiments in blue ink onto kraft card, then cut and inked them. I really like the effect of printing onto kraft, and will definately use it again, especially for those masculine cards.
I decorated the inside to match.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

Di's Digi Designs - Male Inspired Creations.

Happy Anniversary Mum & Dad

On June 11th, 46 years ago my mum and dad tied the knot, and are still going strong. A true inspiration and I hope that my DH and I can instill the same values of the sanctity of marriage into our littlies one day too. (It'll be 20 yrs for us this September!) My little sis and her husband also married on June 11th, so share the same anniversay, although they tied the knot just 12 months ago! (Click HERE to see the card I have made for them.)

So, I have made a card using one of Paula's adorable images from Pollycraft, here it is:

I have coloured this adorable pair using my Promarkers and cut them out.

My DPs are Dovecraft Sugar n Spice and have been paired with some kraft card and pale turquoise/tea green card. I die-cut some leaves and flourishes (with added flat-backed pearls) and the flowers are Dovecraft Natural collection, which I gently inked and added a card candi dot to the centre.

I have used a new product on this card, which I had a real beast of a job to track down! I had seen it on a one of my blog-surfing sessions, its called Magic Mesh, and is a self-adhesive roll of mesh, which is repositionable and is made in the USA (for details click HERE.) I love it, but its quite expensive, so it'll only be making an appearance on special occasions!!! Lol! The ribbon is from Mei Flower and the sentiment has been personalised.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
My Sheri Crafts #86 - Summer Lovin'
The Squirrel & the Fox #19 - Summer (or Winter.)
Anything Goes #68 - Anniversaries.

FILs Birthday

Oh dear :( What happened to the lovely sunshine? It's been positively vile here today, I wanted to snuggle down under my duvet and sleep until the sun comes back...d'you think I should've been born a tortoise or a squirrel, so I could hibernate all through the bad weather...?!!

So, its my FIL's birthday at the weekend, and being so close to Father's Day I always find it hard to come up with a theme for his cards, especially as he doesn't really have any hobbies...UNTIL NOW that is! In his mid 60s, he has JUST decided to get into gardening, and is planning to grow his own veggies for the very first time! Yay for him, AND yay for me! A theme for his card, and here it is.
I knew straight away that I wanted to use this adorable Digistamp Boutique image. I coloured it up with Promarkers and layered the boots and seed packets on foam pads for dimension.
I used kraft card and bakers twine for a rustic feel, and distressed the edges with inks. I added a circular sentiment cut out with a nestie, and finally I coloured 3 card candi dots using the same Promarkers as the main image. I am rather chuffed with how it turned out!

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Digistamp Boutique - Monthly challenge for JUNE.
Lexi's Creations #66 - For the Men in our Lives.
Love to Create #18 - Father's Day OR Special Guy.
Here Come the Boys #28 - Anything Goes.

Thanks for popping in.

It's All About The RIBBON !!!

Happy Sunday everyone, and a warm welcome to my blog on this special Bank Holiday weekend. After all the beautiful weather we have been lucky enough to enjoy over the past couple of weeks, it looks as if we are to be blessed with rain, and a fair drop too, but we won't let that dampen our spirits this jubilee weekend! Over at THE CRAFTY PAD this week our challenge #173 is

RIBBON

We want to see how creative you can get using ribbons on your projects...how easy-peasy is that! I have made a ribbon rosette Fathers Day card for my littlies to give to their dad on Fathers Day, and the best bit is that I used a fab tutorial by our very own Debbie Moore which you can find on the challenge blog HERE.
Here's my card:
I have used the  Father's Day Rosette image, available from The Crafty Pad Designs. I made the sentiments on the computer using a font callled 'A PAPA,' and the DPs are a digital freebie from for-ever-ago! I made the rosette into a badge by attaching a safety pin to the back, and secured it using low-tack glue so it can be removed and re-attached when required.
I added some card candi and a couple of star-shaped brads to finish.
Close up of the rosette
The inside of the card was created using up the leftover bits n bobs of card and DP.
We are very lucky to be sponsored by TWO companies this week, which means there are TWO prizes to play for!

CRAFTY SENTIMENTS DESIGNS are giving away 3 digis of choice to one lucky winner:

AND

CRAFTY INDIVIDUALS have this super prize on offer:
Consists of:
1pack of 6x6 Seaside Themed Backing Papers
1 A4 glossy sheet of Secret Garden Themed Toppers
