A Special Post in Honour of a Special Friend

Good Morning, and a very warm welcome. I am really excited to be here today to share details of a special challenge we are holding over at
One of my teamies, and a very lovely friend of mine, Dawn, is doing something wonderful to support her beloved mum, who is currently battling Breast Cancer. On Saturday September 8th, she is having her head shaved in honour of her mum, who has lost her hair through chemotherapy, and at the same time, is hoping to raise lots of money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

To support our friend in this wonderful gesture, The Crafty Pad will be running a MONTH long challenge alongside our weekly challenges to offer our support.

The theme for our special challenge is:

Breast Cancer Awareness and/or Think PINK
(not just a little pink but lots of PINK!)

In honour of this special challenge, Debbie, the fab boss and owner of The Crafty Pad, has created a plethora of wonderful FREEBIES, both images AND sentiments for you to use (optional) if you would like to join the challenge. Simply pop over to the challenge blog and see. All we ask is that you PLEASE don't share them, but direct people back to the blog to collect them in-person. Also, if you DO use them in your creations, PLEASE give credit & include a link back to The Crafty Pad. Simples!

AND...There's MORE!!! So many wonderful people and companies have offered to sponsor this challenge with fabby prizes, including:

 & more!
For full details go to the challenge blog.

Here is my card:

I knew straight away what I was going to do with this wonderful image!

Believe it or not, this image is one of the fabulous freebies designed by our dear Debbie especially to support this BCA/Pink challenge. I used a peachy/cream coloured card to cut the 'bust/chest' shape from, then paper-pieced the image using a range of Breast-Cancer support DPs. I LOVE paper-piecing, it's one of my all-time fave techniques. The flower was cut using a daisy-die, and finished off with a pearl. I added a simple sentiment. 'thanks for your support' surrounded by pink gems.

I do hope you will join us is this challenge, and help us to raise awareness for this worthy cause, and hopefully some money too!

Time For Twine!

Morning all, I hope you are enjoying a relaxing Sunday morning :)

I am here with details of a new challenge at

#185 - TWINE

Any kinda twine you like, garden twine, divine twine....

Here's my card:

I made an easel card for my nephew's birthday using this adorable image called BRADLEY WITH FOOTBALL. It is one of several Bradley images available at THE CRAFTY PAD DESIGNS online store.

I coloured Bradley up with Promarkers and teamed him up with some digi papers from my stash.

I have used Orange Divine Twine behind the image to represent the goal-net.

My nephew's name is Bradley, and he is a footie fanatic, so the image seemed perfect for him! I added a sentiment panel (raised up on foam pads to act as the stopper,) and some football buttons to decorate.

Finally I inked the edges to finish.
Here is a side-view.

The rest of Team B (with the exception of our dear Leesa, who is amidst moving-house-mayhem!) have some fabby inspiration to get you in the mood for creating your own masterpieces, so pop over to the blog and see.

Nearly forgot to mention our SPONSOR this week!! Thanks heaps to Joanna Sheen for her generous £10 to spend in her online craft shop.

We hope to see lots of entries again this week, and remember, if you use a CRAFTY PAD IMAGE you will get another one of your choice for FREE!!

Thanks for your visit, see you again soon I hope.

Hi bloggers, I'm here with a quickie today to share with you the wonderful
New Releases at

Here are the previews:

First, the CHRISTMAS Themed ones:

Next, the PAPERS.

And some Autumn Themed goodies:

And Finally, some Birthday Sentiment Circles:
FAB aren't they!
I was making a card for my Sister-In-Law and couldn't resist using some of those fabby papers...I chose the Vintage Postcard Pack one of the circle sentiments and teamed it with the Dress-Form-Trio images, also available in the SHOP.
Here it is:

I followed the sketch and theme (Get Krafty) at Willow Sketchie, so will be entering their challenge again this week.

I printed the dress forms and the sentiment circle directly onto the Postcard paper, and the rest is pretty self-explanatory!
This is the first time I've used the 'dew drops' on the flowers, they are from Robin's Nest. I made the posh pins myself to match the colours I've used.

Make sure you pop over to The Crafty Pad Designs Shop and check out these fab new releases.

As well as this week's Willow Sketchie challenge, I will be entering the following challenges with my card:

Who Doesn't Love a SALE...!?!

Yes folks, I'm here with the August Showcase and exciting news of a SALE over at THE CRAFTY PAD!
Instead of new releases this month, Debbie at THE CRAFTY PAD has decided to let the DT loose in the shop, and to create with whatever we wanted to choose!
Now, believe me, it took quite some doing to pick just ONE image to create with, but instead of choosing one of my faves (there really are so many!!) I decided to choose something I've not used before. I chose CANDY FLOSS STAND and created this card:
I coloured the image with promarkers and chose my digi papers to match the same candy-colours. I matted onto black card which I think really makes it 'pop.' The sentiment ticket was a freebie and I added some square gems (coloured with promarkers to match) and some ric rac to finish.

I also decorated the inside to match.

So onto the details! We are offering you a whopping 30% OFF SALE on our favourite TCP images! That's ALL the images the DT have chosen to create with today, so pop over to The Crafty Pad Challenge Blog to see what we've all used, because those are the images in the sale. :)

The sale is on for ONE WEEK ONLY, so hurry, you really don't want to miss out!!

AND...We also have a new challenge this week and would love to see you all playing along; all you have to do is

Show some METAL!
(Check blog for details.)

Remember, if you use a TCP image in your creation you can email Debbie and you'll receive a FREE TCP image of your choice as well!
We will see you all on Thursday for some winners and a Top 5!
Happy Crafting till then!
