A Card For COMIC RELIEF

Hi and Happy Tuesday! Today I'm sharing a card that will go towards earning money to support the Comic Relief fundraising this year. My wonderful friend, Debbie Lauder, owner of Crafty Stash and long-time member of the Cardmaking Downloads forum, has pledged to donate cash for every entry made into the MARCH competition at Cardmaking Downloads! Wowzers! So, I am doing my bit, by entering this card, AND hoping that anyone who reads this, might feel tempted to join the fun and take part too! EVERYONE who enters gets a fab freebie download from Sammy Murphy, the super-talented owner of CMD, and there will also be 3 lucky winners who'll receive gift certificates for her shop! What've you got to lose....? NOTHING!

So, here's my card:

As you can see, it's an easel card, and I've used BPs from the Sunday Best 20s Girl download.  I also used the same image from The Paper Shelter, and have paper-pieced her entire outfit to match the BPs....shoes, hat, coat and bag in brown, dress, rose and ribbon on her hat in pink floral. her skin was coloured with promarkers.

The panels behind her have been cut with nesties, and all edges distressed with ink. The sentiment was computer generated and cut using the same set of nesties, and the BP beneath was cut using my only Marianne RTP punch! The ribbons and pearls are from my stash, and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I also added some cream lace to the base panel, which I thought fitted the vintage feel of the card.

I am entering this card into the following blog challenges:

I hope you feel inspired to join the crafty fun AND raise money for Comic Relief at the same time.....Thanks for looking and Happy Crafting.
